I have a few q's and concerns...
1- Can you still have 3:1 fights? (IE: Country A declares on Country B, Country C + D declare on A.. this way A has only technically been declared on 2x)
I have a feeling this "declaring" rules could be manipulated...
2- If one country declares war, does the one declared on automatically declare war? And does that take up alliance slots?
Thanks.

1 - 3:1 fights is possible. 'manipulation' would be considered abuse, and you know what Vincent does to abusers. If not, imagine the worst that can happen, then sigh in relief when all he can do is ban your account.
2 - as far as I know, any declare is automatically 2 way. And it will not take up a 'slot'.

How about this: Country A declares and completely destroys country B
Country B declares on its ally, country C and flees into C, or even through C to escape. Then C takes back the land that connects A to B, so B is free somewhere A cant declare on C because already on war with B
what do you think about that?

Is that "manipulation" or just helping an ally out?

it's not manipulation (or abuse) if fighting within the dictates of the rules which either scenario would be doing from what is posted.

<Furion> if a country can only be at war with 2 other countries <Furion> then maybe it would be wise to dec on your ally at all times <Furion> thus only having 1 enemy to deal with at any one time * henry has joined #FrenchStates <stjohn> if you dec on your ally though you cant attack anyone else <Furion> if you dec'd on you can <Furion> so you wait to get dec'd on <Furion> then you dec on you ally <stjohn> right, but then that ally cant attack <stjohn> ah <stjohn> stop a 2v1 <Furion> yeah
And what about that?

Easy to spot abuse.

Yes, and once you cross it, Vincent will strike down upon thee with his almighty godly powers, and smite your evil doings.
Or in english, you sure you wanna walk that line?

Yea, anger Vincent and you either get verbally abused on the forums or demoted 3 ranks.

Well the easiest and most effective way of abusing the declaration limit is to get an ally to cut you off from your enemy - you'll be save then. I'd like to see Vincent's stance on that. Legal, illigal?
Maybe a war should immidiately end if two countries share no mutual borders anymore. That way if you hide behind an ally, the country attacking you is at least freed to attack someone else - possibly your ally.

That would require a bit of code, checking if border still exists.
I do not think no-border should allow you to escape the wrath of an enemy, atleast not until 24 hours has passed.

Having no borders actually lets you escape the wrath of an enemy, the enemy can't reach you anymore. And he can't force his way through because he's already at war with you.
If you end a war then, at least your enemy won't be tied up anymore in a pointless war.
